Classification and use of lan jumpers

Fiber is divided into two categories:

Single-mode lan: general lan jumper with yellow, connectors and protective cover for the blue; mainly for long-distance transmission

Multi-mode lan: the general lan jumper with orange, and some with gray, connectors and protective cover with beige or black; mainly for short-distance transmission.

Precautions for use of lan jumper

1. Optical lan jumper at both ends of the optical transceiver transceiver wavelength must be consistent, that is, both ends of the lan must be the same wavelength of the optical module, a simple distinction is the color of the optical module to be consistent.

2. In general, shortwave optical modules use multimode lan (orange lan), long-wave optical module using single-mode lan (yellow lan) to ensure the accuracy of data transmission.
